Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Estate Administration

Wills and Powers of Attorney

It is my pleasure to serve you. We strive to make the process of securing the future of your assets a pleasant and rewarding experience for you. What to expect during this process:
  • Initial Meeting: I will meet with you in a private confidential consultation to discuss your financial and family needs.
  • Agreement on Fee: We will discuss and agree upon the attorney’s fees that will be charged, based upon your particular needs.
Once you make the decision to hire me in assisting you with preparing your Will and Powers of Attorney you can expect the following:
  • Education: This consultation gives me the opportunity to learn about your life, needs and goals. This will also be an opportunity to educate you and answer any questions you may have.
  • Strategy and Expert Advice: Once I learn about your needs, I will be able to give you expert legal advice and appropriately prepare your Will to ensure your assets go to the people and/or organizations that you want to have them.
  • Preparation of Your Documents: After our consultation, I will prepare a Will and any needed powers of attorney to fulfill your needs.
  • Completion of the Process: After the Wills are prepared we will set up an appointment for you to come back to my office to sign the Wills. I will provide the necessary witnesses as part of the signing process. You will leave the office with your original documents and copies for your future reference.
Estate Administration (Probate)
  • Provide caring assistance in the administration of your estate.
  • If you are named as an Executor of someone’s Will I will assist you in probating their estate. This would include completing the necessary forms, notifying heirs and going with you to Probate Court to have you sworn in as Executor and having Letters Testamentary issued.
  • If a loved one dies without a Will I can help you go through the process of being appointed as administrator of the estate.
