State Bar of Georgia. Every lawyer practicing law in Georgia has to be a member of the State Bar of Georgia. The website includes a directory
of all lawyers admitted to practice in Georgia. GeorgiaCourts.org. This site is provided by the Georgia Administrative Office of the Courts. Quote from the site Webmaster,
"We want www.georgiacourts.org to be among the best judicial websites in the country." It seems to be a very
good site. There are links to all the courts in the state and numerous other legal related sites. Georgia Council of Probate Court Judges. This site has information on obtaining marriage licenses, firearms licenses (yes that is a rather odd combination)
information on the duties of executors and administrators, and a large number of probate and guardians forms can be downloaded
from the site. Secretary of State, State of Georgia. This is a very useful site. You can reserve a corporate name, get information on incorporating a company, find
the name and address of registered agents for service of all corporations registered to do business in Georgia, search for
information on corporations doing business in Georgia; obtain election information; check on state licensing requirement
for certain occupation. The site also has links to other agencies. Georgia Magistrate Courts. Each county in Georgia has a Magistrate Court. The civil division is a type of small claims court, with jurisdiction
up to $15,000.00. Individuals do not have to be represented by a lawyer. The criminal division of the Magistrate
Court is responsible for issuing criminal warrants, holding preliminary hearings and setting bonds. This site provides
links to all Courts in Georgia. Martindale.com. This website contains information about all lawyers admitted to practice law in the United States. Martindale has a peer
rating system in which lawyers rate other lawyers on their legal abilities and professional ethics. www.annualcreditreport.com You can get free credit reports from the three nationwide consumer reporting companies — Equifax,
Experian, and Trans Unionall at this site. The following is from the Federal Trade Commissions
web site: A recent amendment to the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires each of the
nationwide consumer reporting companies to provide you with a free copy of your credit report, at your request, once every
12 months. The FCRA promotes the accuracy and privacy of information in the files of the nation’s consumer reporting
companies. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation’s consumer protection agency, enforces the FCRA with respect
to consumer reporting companies. A credit report contains information on where you live, how you pay your bills, and
whether you’ve been sued, arrested, or filed for bankruptcy. Nationwide consumer reporting companies sell the information
in your report to creditors, insurers, employers, and other businesses that use it to evaluate your applications for credit,
insurance, employment, or renting a home.
